Korwin Zehr
I was born and raised on a farm in rural Gladys, VA. After moving a mile off the home farm, we collected our own farmette, including some milking Jerseys, a bunch of steers, a beef cow or two, and some goats. After graduating high school, I worked full time on the farm until the cows were sold, after which I followed my dad (Jon) to his restaurant business. When I moved to Juniata County Pennsylvania in August 2024 to run Lighthouse Thrift Store in Newport, I had to leave the cows behind, but they are in my blood, and I am expecting to scratch that itch sometime in the future.
In December of 2024 I first met the lady who soon became the love of my life. In February 2026 I married Maryann Kilmer of Missouri. We have settled down in Juniata County PA and plan to stay here unless God calls us somewhere else.
Growing up I had the privilege of being enshrouded in great music from birth. Robert Shaw Choral (The Messiah!), the King’s Singers, The King’s Heralds, the Acappella Company, Haven of Rest, Concordia, Home Free, etc. have all had a major impact on my musical shaping, mostly due to their vocal excellence. And of course, the ultimate goal growing up has been to be as good as my dad, who has been in VOP my whole life.
I have many fond memories of riding along to programs here and there over the years, and it was a dream to be able to be up there with them. Then, in 2018 the opportunity came to join the group. It was an automatic “yes” as an answer. To be able to share the Gospel through song with other Godly men beside me is a dream come true. May we continue to fulfill the mission of spreading the Gospel as we continue forward. May GOd bless you all!
